Now why would I say that?  Well, because a diagnosis is just a starting point, and on top of that, thousands of people are wrongly diagnosed every day from everything from migraine headaches to allergies. 

So we don’t want to get caught up in what you could call a “traditional” diagnosis because it’s pretty generic actually.  It doesn’t really give you any information on what you’re going to do to treat it. 

So if a doctor says, “Okay you have fibromyalgia”…now what?  There’s about 500 reasons why you can have those symptoms.  It’s not the same for every person.  It’s not like a cold that you catch and you take an antibiotic for it and everything goes away.  It’s different than that. 

So what we want to do is we want be very specific…because saying you have “fibromyalgia” is generic.  It doesn’t give us information about what we’re going to do to change it. To make it better.  To get rid of it.

So in our office what we look atis a functional diagnosis; meaning let’s look at the regions of the brain that may not be working right.  Let’s look at other systems of your body that may not be working right and are causing these horrible symptoms.

So for example I may diagnose a person with a dysfunction or a decreased function of the parietal lobe in the brain. 

Or that the person has a TH1-dominant autoimmune reaction that is attacking their brain, or nerves.

Or that they have Stage 7 Adrenal Gland exhaustion that is totally screwing up their blood sugar regulation and making nerve cells unstable (more on this in a minute).

Now these are all words you don’t have to remember.  But these are the words that we use because they tell us what we’re going to do about it. 

If I diagnose you with a parietal lobe problem, guess what?  There are things we can do to rehabilitate it..to strengthen it.  And that’s one of the things you should think of right now…you should think of the brain as a muscle, as full of lots of different muscles.  Some muscles can be very strong.  Other muscles can be weak. When certain ones become weak, you get problems and you get symptoms.

 So our approach is to ask the questions:

• What is the mechanism?
• Why is this happening?

There are no one-size-fits all diagnoses or treatments. The treatment approach is pretty simple.  I identify the areas of the brain that are weak, that are not functioning correctly, and then I strengthen them using non-drug methods which we’ll talk about.

I also identify the problems and imbalances in the hormone system, GI system and immune system that area causing your fibromyalgia problem…and then specifically use a scientific, natural approach, to correct the imbalances.

It's all about doing the right things, at the right time, in the right order. There is no one size fits all, but there is an answer.
